Federal-Mogul is today’s top performing stock

Federal-Mogul Corp (NASDAQ:FDML), a supplier of various components, accessories, and systems in the United States and internationally, surged +17.84% today to reach $18.43 on the heels of the announcement of higher-than-expected earnings. With 76.6 million shares, FDML represents 3.64% of Carl Icahn’s portfolio. The billionaire has gained 34.59% in this position, having paid an average price of $13.75 per share.

Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (NYSE:CP), a transcontinental railway providing freight transportation services, also experienced a major gain today. The stock climbed +7.95% to $141.37 following a report of increased year-on-year profits. This comes as good news for many of our iBillionaire players. Bill Ackman holds 24.1 million CP shares, representing 26.78% of his holdings. The shareholder paid an average price of $52.83 per share. The last firm on our daily loser list is Unwired Planet Inc (NASDAQ:UPIP), another tech company. Its stock price fell to $1.74 today (a -6.95% decline).
