Samsung Galaxy S III Launches In US, Available On T-Mobile

Samsung Galaxy S III is now available to customers in the United States through T-Mobile.  Verizon, Spring, and AT&T are expected to sell their versions of the phone later on this summer.

T-Mobile is selling both the blue and white versions. If you want to pay less for this phone, you’ll have to wait until the other carries start selling it because T-Mobile is charging the most. If you sign up for a two-year agreement, you can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S III 16 GB model for just $279.99 or the 32GB model for $329.99. Unlike the European version, the U.S. version features a Qualcomm dual-core1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 chipset and 42Mbps HSPA+.

Sprint was supposed to start selling the Samsung Galaxy S III today but unfortunately, it was delayed. AT&T is expected to launch their version on June 25th and Verizon will get theirs in a few weeks.

The new Samsung Galaxy S III is quite impressive with a 4.8″ HD Super Amoled screen, display that measures 1280 x 720, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 2 GB of RAM, 16GB or 32 GB of internal memory which can be expanded by a 64GB SD card, built-in MP3 player, advanced 8MP camera with LED flash, 1.9MP front facing camera that can record 720p HD, full high definition 1080p video camera with recording and playback, 4G capabilities, WiFi, and more.

This phone could be the gadget of the summer. It’s also a great alternative smartphone for those who want a new phone but don’t want to wait for the iPhone 5. I predict that this phone will be a hot seller for now or at least until the next iPhone arrives. As I previously mentioned in this article, the Samsung Galaxy S III features some pretty impressive specs, which makes me wonder if Apple will feel the pressure to launch their iPhone a bit sooner.
