As if the plethora of leaks related to the Nexus 5 were not enough, we’ve got our hands on yet another leak, but this time from Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) itself. Google’s latest, and highly anticipated Nexus 5 smartphone has appeared on the Play Store. This listing appears to be only for a short time, and perhaps because of an error. But thanks to this error, we now know what  the price of the Nexus 5 might be, along with its storage capacity.

Nexus 5 prices

The listing clearly indicates that the Nexus 5 would be available at a starting price of $349 for the 16GB version. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s tagline for this new smartphone is “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways.” There could be a 32GB model as well, but pricing details of that 32GB model are not available at the moment. Also it seems that Google has dumped the idea of an 8GB version of the Nexus 5, unlike Nexus 4.

The Android UI tweaks found in this image match that of earlier leaks. It looks like the Android KitKat will feature translucent effects to elements such as app drawer and on-screen buttons. The new effect for sure looks good, but it would be interesting to see what other changes are made in Android 4.4 KitKat. Some apps like camera and phone have received new icons too.

Google’s mistake

This brief mistake by Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) revealed a lot about the phone, and now we know how this phone will look like, what would be its price and storage capacity. If you check Play Store right now, then there are no remaining traces of the Nexus 5, then Google’s team may have corrected their mistake.

This leak can also mean that we’re soon going to see the official announcement of the phone, perhaps within a few days, or at least by the month’s end. We’ll keep you informed when Google announces anything about the launch event.
