Apple is set to launch the iPhone 7 sometime in September. If a new report coming out of China is to be believed, the Cupertino-based tech giant would launch not one or two, but three different variants of its next-gen phone: iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro. The Pro version is said to have two 12MP camera lenses on the back – one with optical image stabilization and another with 2-3x optical zoom.

Only iPhone 7 will have 64GB option

According to a posting on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, 32GB has become the new base storage option for the next-gen iPhones. Though the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 256GB options. In other two models, the 64GB option will be replaced by 128GB. That’s not all; the same leak has revealed prices of all the three upcoming models of the iPhone.

iPhone 7 Plus and Pro may have more RAM

If the above list of models and prices are to be believed, Apple is phasing out the 16GB and 64GB (except in iPhone) options. The next iPhone lineup is expected to be powered by the A10 processor. While the 4.7-inch iPhone is said to pack 2GB RAM, its bigger siblings are rumored to have 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The Plus and Pro both are likely to have the same processor, but with increased clock speeds.

In terms of design, the upcoming iPhones will be almost identical to last year’s iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. But there will be a few noticeable changes. For instance, Apple is removing the 3.5mm headphone jack to make the device slimmer. If that happens, users will have to stream audio via the lightning port or an adapter that attaches to the lightning port. Some more recent rumors indicate that the iPhone 7 may retain the headphone jack.
