Huawei is planning to hold an event on Friday to reveal the Mate 20 X 5G, but it sounds like that won’t be the only new device launched on that day. The company announced the Huawei Nova 5i Pro on its Weibo account today, and most tech watchers are expecting it to debut alongside the Mate 20 X 5G on Friday. We don’t know much about the Huawei Nova 5i Pro, but we have heard it will have a quad-lens camera on the back.

According to GSMArena, the Huawei Nova 5i Pro is expected to be called the Mate 30 Lite outside China. A Chinese actress posted selfies on her Weibo account which she said were taken using the Note 5i Pro. The device’s selfie camera is expected to have a 32-megapixel lens. It’s difficult to learn much about the device’s selfie camera from the shared images because Weibo’s algorithms compress them, but either the company used professional lights for the selfies or the camera will have impressive low-light capabilities.

TENAA filings for the Mate 30 Lite spotted by GSMArena reveal that the device will have a quad-lens camera on the rear with 48-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 2-megapixel and 2-megapixels lenses. In addition to the main lens, the device is expected to have an ultra-wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens and a depth sensor. Underneath the quad-lens camera is a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back of the device.

The device is expected to feature Huawei’s Kirin 810 chipset and 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM with up to 256 GB of built-in storage. The display is expected to be a 6.26-inch LCD, while the battery is expected to be 3,900 mAh.

GSMArena also reports that preorders for the Nova 5i Pro will begin at 16:08 local time in China, probably through JD.com and Vmall.

You can watch Huawei’s announcement video for the Nova 5i Pro via its Weibo account here. The video is in Chinese, but you can at least get an idea of how the phone will look.
