How to hide retweets….. Social media these days are a source of distraction for some, while a hobby or time pass for some. When it comes to Twitter, we normally enjoy reading those 140 character tweets, but those retweets! Some people have the habit of retweeting every interesting stuff they stumble upon and just because of them, our Twitter feed is bombarded with retweets. Wouldn’t it be great if we can hide retweets from a particular user from our Twitter feed? Yes, that’s possible. Read on to find out how.

How to hide retweets from Twitter

Go to Twitter.com (and not any Twitter client) and click on your profile. From the left sidebar, click on Following to see a complete list of people that you’re following. Find the user for whom you don’t want to see retweets, and click on the gray silhouette button which is just left to the blue Following one. From the drop-down menu that opens, select Turn off Retweets.

That’s all you’ll need to do to hide retweets from that person in your feed. However, note that manual retweets will still appear, such as when that user edits a retweet, and writes something with a RT, or a comment. Such tweets will still appear.

This gray silhouette button is also displayed when you’re viewing someone’s profile.

Sometimes we do miss such small life-saver settings. With retweets now being hidden from the feed, your Twitter journey would be more exciting, silent and of course, less distracting. Now whenever a user retweets too much stuff, you know what to do.
