NOTE I receive no compensation for this. I am getting a media pass and hope to cover the event for Value Walk. 100% of the proceeds go to local childrens charities in Chicago. I think some readers might be interested in attending.

This is on short notice, but the conference will be taking place on Wed November 9th, 1:30 PM-6PM in Chicago.

Below is the line-up for the speakers (most of the names should sound pretty familiar).

Marc Lasry (Avenue Capital)
Richard Perry (Perry Partners)
Barry Rosenstein (JANA Partners)
Michael Milken (Milken Institute)
Leon Cooperman (Omega Advisors)
Sam Zell (Equity Group Investments)
Thomas Russo (Gardner Russo & Gardner)
Barry Sternlicht (Starwood Capital Group )
Michael Elrad (GEM Realty Capital)
John Keeley Jr (Keeley Asset Management)

Each speaker speaks for ~15 minutes about their best investable idea / market view. The conference is modeled after Ira Sohn, and in its first two years, raised close to $2million for local charities. The organizer of the event gives 100% of revenues (before expenses for the non-analysts here) to charity.

There are tons of conferences in New York, but this is one of the best you will find outside New York City. In addition, considering the great cause supported and the great line-up, it might be worth a trip to Chicago to hear the speakers.
