Rumors around Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy S6 have intensified as its launch date approaches. A new report from South Korean website Chosun.com claims that the Galaxy S6 will be unveiled on March 2, the first day of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Korean electronics giant has not confirmed when it would announce the next flagship.

Galaxy S6 to be the most amazing smartphone ever

Chosun said that the company has developed multiple prototypes of the phone, but hasn’t yet decided which one to go with. An executive with a Samsung supplier said that the device will have a metal casing, but Samsung is weighing other options as well. Meanwhile, BGR has learned from their “trusted source” that the Galaxy S6 will be the most amazing smartphone we have ever heard of.

The source also sent the publication photos of the Galaxy S6 but BGR was not allowed to publish them. However, the publication has revealed all the features of the device. It is probably the first leak that has included purported innards of Samsung’s next flagship. The phone will come with octa-core 64-bit processor that will be 50% faster than the Galaxy S5.

Yesterday, sources told Bloomberg that Samsung will use its in-house Exynos processor in the phone rather than Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Qualcomm’s latest processor has been facing overheating issues. BGR’s source did not specify the RAM value, but a recent report claimed that the Galaxy S6 will sport 4GB RAM. Further, the phone will have a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a stunning 577ppi density.

Galaxy S6 to introduce Samsung Pay

The source told BGR that the Galaxy S6 will have 20-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, and 5MP front camera with real-time HDR. It will pack 2550mAh battery. The phone will be available in three storage variants: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. There will be a built-in wireless charging, plus a Quick connect charging that will provide up to four hours of usage on 10 minutes of charge.

Most importantly, the source also talked about Samsung Pay that will be similar to Apple Pay. It will work with NFC payment terminals and 90% of existing magnetic stripe payment terminals. For connectivity, the phone will support Cat 6 LTE.
