On May 8, 2014, Portfolio Manager and Director of International Research David Nadel was a guest on Bloomberg TV’s “Market Makers.” Fielding questions from hosts Stephanie Ruhle and Erik Schatzer, David discussed—alongside Nitin Saigal, founder and chief investment officer at Kora Management—the risks for investors in India and prospects for India’s economy.

“There is a certain appeal to the consumer story in India,” said David. “You are looking at a rapidly growing population, a rapidly growing middle class.” David also talked about two Indian companies he currently likes that are plays on India’s consumer story.

He recently produced a detailed report on India’s growth potential, and also contributed to the Barron’s cover story, “India: Open for Business” as well as “Where to Invest in India.”

David Nadel has 21 years of investment industry experience, seven of which at Royce. He is portfolio manager of Royce International Smaller-Companies Fund, Royce European Smaller-Companies Fund (with Mark Rayner), and Royce International Premier Fund.
