Bill Ackman's 342 Page Presentation On Herbalife: The Short Case

Bill Ackman publicly disclosed that he has a short position in Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) yesterday. Today Ackman continued his hammering of Herbalife on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and at The Ira Sohn Conference today. We have provided extensive coverage on the saga between the company and Ackman. To avoid overkill, we do not plan to post much more, unless something really interesting comes up. However, Ackman gave an extremely long presentation at Ira Sohn today, which we think is quite informative. Ackman has called the company a pyramid scheme, and questioned some of the company’s filings with the SEC. Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) is preparing a lawsuit, which Ackman said he would welcome. He also believes that this is the most compelling investment he has ever seen. David Einhorn who earlier questioned the accounting practices at Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF), is known for his extremely lengthy presentations, usually 100 pages or more. However, Ackman beats Einhorn with a monster 342 page slide on the bearish case for Herbalife. The presentation is embedded below.
