It would be a good thing for iTunes Radio to go global

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s reported expansion will definitely put the company head of competitor Pandora Media Inc (NYSE:P). The latter operated in just three countries: United States, New Zealand, and Australia. Since Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) made deals with music companies before the launch, they can expand faster on an international level. It would be a good thing for iTunes Radio to go global, especially considering that it was designed for promoting new albums. Eddy Cue (Apple’s senior vice president for Internet Software and Services) elaborated on the purpose of iTunes Radio, “It’s a huge improvement to do it on iTunes Radio because you don’t go to a store a lot. Hopefully lots of people will be listening to iTunes Radio a lot; from a discovery perspective it’s significantly better. I think when you go to a store and you go to the Justin Timberlake page and stream it from there, that’s great but that means you went to the store. iTunes Radio lets you discover it without you having to think about it.”

Apple’s new radio service has the opportunity to reach new heights

Just last week, Cue explained to the Associated Press that he wants to expand iTunes Radio to over 100 countries. This means that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s new radio service has the opportunity to reach new heights. Given Apple’s history to revolutionize products, it’s a real possibility they could change the whole internet radio landscape, especially if they go international.

Fortunately, going international shouldn’t be a tough task for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as it already has movies, music, and TV content around the world. iTunes Radio will likely roll out globally in early 2014. Apple could transform the entire internet radio industry.
