TMZ is reporting in an exclusive that actress Angelina Jolie filed divorce papers on Monday citing a conflict over the kids the couple has and irreconcilable differences. While she has apparently asked the judge to give Pitt visitation rights, she doesn’t wish to give Pitt joint custody of the couple’s six children but wants sole custody for herself.
Jolie is apparently being represented by Laura Wasser and is not asking for financial support. The couple was married in 2014 and Jolie in her filing says the couple separated on Sept 15, 2016.
The two began dating following being cast together in the action comedy “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” where the played husband and wife. At the time, Pitt was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston whom he began dating in 2000 and later married.
In such a high profile divorce rumors are already swirling around about “another woman” with Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Kaplan making the list with more and more people suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow has caused the divorce. The two have had a past romantic relationship.
