Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is known for its low prices, but sometimes you may have noticed that once you’ve purchased an item, the price of the same item is slashed down after a short time period. You might think that you should have waited a bit longer to purchase that item, so that you can get advantage of the dropped price. But before you start lamenting, here’s an interesting policy that Reddit user Poorsoi has discovered.

Simple method used by Amazon

Poorsoi asked a very simple question when chatting with Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s support: She stated that she purchased a wall-mountable wine rack which was priced at $28.52, and the price of the same wine dropped to $20.95 after she ordered it.  Could she get a refund for the price difference?

As you can see, things worked out simply and easily. Per Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s representative, she’ll get the refund of the price difference of the item, as long as the price drop happens under seven days from the delivery date. Well, time to rejoice!

Policy not known to some

The strange part is that this policy is not mentioned on Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s site. You should also note that this policy applies only to items that are sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com.

So the next time you shop for an item and later on the price drops, then you know what to do!
