San Diego-based visual designer Adrienne Alpern is one of the first customers to receive her iPhone 6S. She was surprised when the brand new iPhone showed up on her doorstep on Monday. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are currently scheduled to go on sale in 12 countries starting Friday, Sept.25. The lucky iPhone owner posted photos of her new phone to Twitter.

AT&T congratulates Adrienne

Adrienne Alpern said she had ordered the device through AT&T. The U.S. wireless carrier was quick to congratulate her through its official Twitter account. Adrienne also shared a variety of photos of the device, as well as images and videos captured by the iPhone 6S. She also benchmarked the phone on Geekbench and shared benchmark results on social media.

On Geekbench, the iPhone 6S achieved a score of 2,413 in single-core tests, better than the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and retina iPad Mini. The device achieved a score of 4,795 in multi-core tests. Geekbench also confirmed that the phone is powered by 2GB RAM. Apple said Monday that it had sold out all the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus models ahead of the official launch. The company aims to sell at least 10 million units of the new phones during the first-weekend of launch.

Some more customers may see early arrival of the iPhone 6S

On Saturday, several customers who had placed pre-orders reported receiving notifications that their new iPhone orders had started shipping out of China. In fact, some of them said their tracking numbers showed estimated delivery dates of Tuesday. Apple usually works with logistics providers including UPS to hold pre-order shipments until launch day. But a few early arrivals might happen due to the sheer volume of the devices being stored and shipped.

Separately, Taiwanese website AppleClub has shared images that show a 2750mAh battery in the 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus. That’s smaller than the 2915mAh battery in last year’s iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6S also features a smaller 1715mAh battery compared to 1810mAh in the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6S battery size was revealed in a video Apple had created to demonstrate 3D Touch.
