The above chart covers the performance of Pershing Square Holdings Limited in comparison with S&P 500 for the corresponding period. The Pershing fund has provided returns at 13% on a Gross basis, and 10% on a net basis YTD July 31, 2015 as compared to S&P 500’s 3.4%.

Overall the fund has been outperforming thus far, which is in contrast to the performance for the year 2013, when the net and gross returns stood at 9.6% and 13% lesser than S&P 500, which was at 32.4%

This outperforming trend has been continued from the prior year 2014, when returns for the fund stood at 40.4% net and 50.6% gross as against S&P 500 returning 13.7% correspondingly. Although Ackman was hurt by the crash of August.
