Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) wasted no time today, in living up to predictions. Stephen Elop, the company’s CEO, barely had time to get his opening remarks out at the big event scheduled with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), in New York City today, when Jo Harlow, the executive vice president, stepped to the stage to Reveal the new Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) Lumia 920 PureView.

Just as we previously reported, this phone has a camera equipped with Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK)’s amazing PureView technology, which allows it to take extremely high resolution photos, even when zoomed in at close range. This phone is also Nokia’s flagship model, which will run on Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s new Windows Phone 8 software, and which some anlaysts say could either be Nokia’s saving grace, or the downfall of the company.

The phone features a 4.5 inch Pure Motion HD + display, dual core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2,000mAh battery, NFC technology, integrated wireless charging, and of course, and 8 megapixel rear PureView camera, which is capable of recording video in 1080p. This phone is, without a doubt, revolutionary in the software design, and in the technology that it flaunts. Wireless charging and NFC are two major desires for many consumers, and to find a phone with both in it, is a major boost for Nokia.

We will have continuing coverage of the event throughout the day.
