According to BGR’s sources, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) reported that they plan on launching the iPhone 5 sometime in late September. This report is nothing new, as we’ve heard for quite some time that Apple will introduce their sixth generation smartphone on September 12, and then later release the phone on September 21.

The second source stated that there was a large regional training event for AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) employees that was originally scheduled for the first week of October, but had to be changed, due to schedule conflict regarding a major announcement. One can easily guess that means Apple is gearing up to announce the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 is the most highly anticipated gadget of the year. In the last few months, we have heard a variety of rumors about the iPhone, mostly about the speculated new design. The most recent rumors claim the next generation iPhone will feature a slightly longer design, smaller dock connector, and 4G LTE.  Naturally, none of these rumors have been confirmed by Apple, but that doesn’t stop people from trying to make educated guesses as to what we can expect from Apple’s next smartphone.

Right now, everyone is waiting to hear more about Apple’s next greatest gadget, but unfortunately, repeat rumors don’t do much of anything.  We need an official confirmation from Apple, but it really doesn’t look like we’re going to get that until they are ready to make the official announcement. It will be interesting and surprising to find out if any of these rumors are not true.  I think people expect more from Apple, and are hoping for a more impressive device, especially considering that Apple has set the standards. I think there is probably a lot more to the iPhone 5 than what we’re hearing about. I’m really hoping that we hear less rumors and that Apple surprises us by introducing the phone a little bit earlier than expected.
