Amazon.com, Inc. Launches A New Marketplace: Amazon Business

Amazon.com launched a new online marketplace called Amazon Business, which is intended to connect business customers with sellers and manufacturers. Amazon Business offers new features and unique benefits designed for businesses.

The e-commerce giant said Amazon Business provides businesses owners with an easy access to hundreds of millions of products ranging from IT and laboratory equipment to education and food service supplies.

In an interview with Reuters, Amazon Business Vice President Prentis Wilson said, “Now, business customers have access to products that are only available to businesses, as well as business exclusive pricing on a number of products.”

Amazon Business features

Amazon Business offers customers with a free two-day shipping on orders of $49 or more on tens of millions of eligible items. Customers will also access to faster shipping options.

In addition, Amazon Business customers can create a single or multi-user business accounts. They can also define a group of users to share easily payment methods and shipping addresses.

Customers will also enjoy a unique search, browse and shopping experience tailored specifically to business purchasing. They can view multiple offers on a single product page to compare prices easily.

Amazon Business also offers business-only pricing on select items and quantity discounts from select manufacturers and sellers. Customers will also benefit from business-only selection, which includes hard-to-find items like traffic signs, industrial deep fryers, antibodies, 55-gallon steel drums, dent pullers and many more.

Furthermore, Amazon Business allows customers to create approval workflows for better spending controls, and to integrate leading third-party procurement solutions.

Moreover, customers will also benefit from Amazon’s tax exemption program and corporate credit line. Amazon Business also offers a customer service dedicated to registered business customers.

Wilson said Amazon Business offers an experience to business customers that they will love. He emphasized that the new marketplace provides a great opportunity for manufacturers and sellers to connect with business customers.

“We’re consistently listening to feedback from customers so we can innovate, deliver more value and set a new standard for B2B e-commerce with Amazon Business. It’s only the beginning for this new marketplace – we will continue to build out features in areas like product support, payments, shipping and pricing,” said Wilson.

Last, Amazon.com announced a new enterprise email service, Amazon WorkMail to improve business interactions.
