When it comes to social media, it is addictive as well as vast. It contains so much content that it is just impossible to keep track of all that’s happening in your circles. That’s why Twitter has announced a new feature called Highlights, which lets you catch up quickly on the best content that’s relevant to you.

As per Twitter, it looks at various factors to determine these “highlights.” These factors include “accounts and conversations that are popular among people you follow, Tweets from people you’re closely tied to, topics and events that are trending in your area or within your network, and people that are popular or trending among people you follow.” So if you’re thinking about enabling this feature, then here’s what you need to do.

Enabling Highlights feature on Twitter

Step 1: Launch the Twitter app on your Android device and tap on the three-dot icon from the topmost right side of your screen.

Step 2: Tap on Settings.

Step 3: Tap on your account name, e.g., @valuewalk. If you have configured more than one account, then you’ll need to do this on all accounts.

Step 4: Tap on Mobile Notifications.

Step 5: Scroll down, and you’ll find an option named Highlights. Tap on it to enable this feature.

With this done, you will have this option enabled. Now when Twitter feels that something important has come up, it will send a push notification to your Android device. Twitter will send a notification up to twice daily. Tapping on the notification from there will take you directly to the Twitter app from where the Highlights will be displayed in a new interface.

This feature is currently only limited to English language readers and those on the Android platform. This feature will be brought to other platforms in the future.
