Apple provided a sneak preview of the ‘Apple Watch’ in September. The new wearable product will take the center stage on Monday, March 9. Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to take the wraps off the Watch at a special event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. It will be the first product developed under Tim Cook’s leadership.
Live streaming begins at 1:00 pm EDT
The tech giant may also unveil other new products such as an improved Apple TV or a long-rumored Retina MacBook Air. For those who couldn’t get an invite to attend the event in San Francisco, the Cupertino company will livestream the event. The keynote is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am Pacific Time (1:00 pm Eastern Time).
You can watch the live video using this link. However, there is a catch. Apple doesn’t support live streaming of the video to Android devices, Windows PCs or anything other than Apple products. So, the live streaming video would work on Safari 5.1.10 or later running Mac OS X v10.6.8 or later. If you want to watch it on a mobile device, you can use mobile Safari on iDevices running iOS 6 or later. Streaming via Apple TV would work only if you have a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

Apple’s first new product in five years
Though the tech giant has not confirmed the event would be about the Watch, its invitation simply reads “Spring Forward.” That’s a word play on the resetting of watches for daylight savings. The Watch connects to your iPhone to receive notifications about calls, messages, emails, and events on your calendar. It also packs heart rate sensor, accelerometer for fitness tracking, Siri and Apple Pay besides standard watch features such as stopwatch and alarm.
