Alix Catherine Tichelman, 26, was arrested Friday after police lured her to Santa Cruz by offering here $1,000 for sex and today was arraigned on charges of manslaughter, prostitution, transporting drugs and destroying evidence.
Hayes was a regular client of Tichelman before being found dead on his yacht, “Escape”, of a heroin overdose after being injected by Tichelman.
In a press release, Santa Cruz police said Tichelman had an “ongoing prostitution relationship” with the victim, met him the night he died and injected him with heroin. Footage from a security camera on the yacht showed Hayes “suffering medical complications and going unconscious,” officials said.
Video catches the call girl’s cold and callous
Rather than call paramedics, Tichelman gathered her belongings, including drugs and paraphernalia, and in a particularly callous moment stepped over his body to “finish a glass of wine” before lowering the blinds and departing.
The police press release said Tichelman “works as a high-priced outcall prostitute and meets her clients through a website, ‘Seeking Arrangements.’ During interviews, Ms. Tichelman boasted of over 200 client relationships.”
Police are apparently also investigating Tichelman in a case with “similar circumstances” that occurred in another state.
Police rushed to arrest
Police arrested Tichelman, whose online profiles list her birthplace as Atlanta, GA after they believed that she was a flight risk.
On her Facebook page, Tichelman wrote June 30 that she was “coming home to the filthy, nasty, dirty south! Hoping to start the drive back to Atlanta at the beginning of next week. Can’t wait to see everyone. It’s celebration time y all!”
Hayes was married 17 years and had five children, according to his obituary.
An unidentified person wrote on the online memorial page, “It is incredible to see the number of people Forrest touched. There are simply no words to describe this. I had the unique opportunity to work for Forrest at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL). He is one of the best bosses I have had – caring and thoughtful.”
Shame about the hookers then.
