NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) announced its agreement with Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) to integrate NQ Music Radar, its music search, discovery and recognition technology on HTC One M8 Harman Kardon edition.

The Chinese mobile internet service provider also said that its NQ Live will serve as the default music experience for the HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon edition, which is exclusively offered by Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S). The device will be available to consumers this month.

The deal expands the previously announced partnership between NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) and Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) for NQ Live to power Sprint Live, the new content and experience platform for Android devices offered by the fourth largest U.S. wireless carrier.

Details of the agreement

Under the agreement, Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) will fully integrate NQ Live-powered music user experience called Music Live and Music Radar with Sprint Music Plus on HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon edition.

According to NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ), Music Live will allow users to discover music, read news about the industry, buy or stream their favorite songs. The technology also offers live interactive wallpaper, and provides instant music discovery and recognition.

NQ Mobile strong technology partner

In a statement, David Owens, senior vice president of product development Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) said, “NQ Mobile has proved to be a strong technology partner for Sprint as we bring to market new innovative experiences like Music Live. As mobile takes over as consumers’ primary access point to entertainment and information, we look forward to working with NQ Mobile to design seamless, consistent and enjoyable mobile device experiences.”

On the other hand, Gavin Kim, president, international and chief commercial officer at NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) said, “Mobile devices are becoming even more essential to our everyday lives, and, as they evolve, so must the experiences they support. The future of mobile isn’t about apps as much as it is about interactivity, immersion and effortlessly personalized content delivery.  We’re elated to be working with Sprint to produce the next generation of mobile experiences.”

NQ Mobile Inc (ADR) (NYSE:NQ) launched Music Radar in October last year. Currently, the technology processes more than 7 million unique searches per day.
