HTC To Release More Windows Phones

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, HTC is focusing on its Android powered “One” smartphones, that are a unified set of Android devices with features and services that will help bring it back into the thick of things. It is part of HTC’s fight back strategy.

The HTC One X is the first one of the series, disclosed by the company CEO Peter Chou, is a 4.7-inch, quad core Tegra 3-powered beast in a polycarbonate white shell. The camera takes photos in 0.7 seconds, it has 8 megapixels and uses an f/2.0 lens.

Other extras of the HTC One X are Beats Audio sound, 25 GB of free Dropbox powered storage, and Media Link, which takes your photos and videos to the TV with a three-finger swipe on the smartphone’s screen.

The other two new phones are the HTC One S and HTC One V. They expect to be in the market by April 2012.

Even though they are focusing on their new Android phones, they are still hope on creating new Windows phones.

John Wang, chief marketing officer of HTC said: “Today, the news happened to be Android, but we have not given up on Windows Phone”. This means that they will be working soon on releasing Windows powered phones.

Kouji Kodera , the vendor’s chief product officer confirmed that the company plans to create a new Windows Phone after Microsoft releases the “Apollo” operating system, reports Pocket-Lint. “For Windows Phone we haven’t decided on the branding yet, but you will see a new range of Windows Phones from us when Microsoft releases their new Apollo operating system,” said Kodera.

HTC team up with Microsoft in the past to create the first Windows Phones. Android fans have an excellent smartphone option and all the Microsoft Windows fans can wait for the new gadgets that HTC will develop.
