When it comes to promotions, Google and KitKat have left not a single stone unturned. Their promotion ran in many countries, and one of those lucky countries was India too. As per the promotion, winners will be getting the 2013 Nexus 7 model, however, it seems that things did not turned out well as it was planned. Instead of sending the 2013 model of Nexus 7, winners in India are receiving the old 2012 model. Now that’s what we call as multinational companies not keeping their promises.
Winners in every other country were given the new 2013 Nexus 7, and those prizes are also shipped weeks ago. KitKat has started to ship their prizes in India just now, and that too, to the winner’s dislike, the 2012 model. Now why is there a discrimination towards Indians, and who is responsible for this is still unknown.
Indian winners have contacted KitKat on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, and right now the only reply winners got is that they’re looking into the issue. KitKat India has responded with a pretty lame excuse as you can see below.

There’s also a Facebook group where people are sharing their experiences towards this issue. So, will KitKat replace the old models with new ones? This seems highly unlikely but winners in India are definitely not happy, and in fact, they feel cheated!
