As it has always happened, tech products get leaked online prior to their official launch, and the same is the case with mostly every Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) product. This time, we’ve got high-quality leaked images of the Cupertino company’s eagerly-anticipated fifth generation iPad, also known as the iPad 5.

Until now, we’ve seen many pictures, videos, concepts and rumors, but this is the first time that we’re seeing high-quality images of the iPad 5.

Sonny Dickson, who regularly leaks information regarding Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s upcoming products has posted dozens of images of the new iPad 5 in Space Grey color. These pictures are of the casing and front panel.

Apple iPad 5 more slim and lighter

As we’ve previously predicted, the iPad 5 will feature a slimmer and lighter iPad mini-like design. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has always concentrated to make its products more slimmer and lighter, and that’s why we think that the new iPad will feature an iPad mini-like design. The side bezels are expected to be narrower compared to the current generation iPad.

The space gray color definitely looks good on the iPad. This is the same color that is available on the iPhone 5S. There are also rumors that the iPad will feature a fingerprint sensor, just like the iPhone 5S, but this rumor has not yet been confirmed by any source.

The fifth-generation iPad, as well as the iPad mini, are expected to be revealed at a media event on October 22. Invitations for the event can arrive any time now.
