cThis feature is already present in some skinned versions of Android but now finally, the feature is natively present in Android 4.3. It basically offers suggestions from your address book based on the number you’re dialing. For example, let’s say you’re dialing a number starting from 982 – this feature will now present suggestions from your contacts whose number starts from 982.

Even though this feature comes natively, for some strange reason, Google has not made this really useful feature enabled by default. So even though you’re on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, you’ll not be able to get autocomplete suggestions when you start dialing a number.

How to enable Dial Pad

To activate dial pad autocomplete, launch the Phone app, tap on menu and then on Settings. Scroll down and you’ll see an option for dial-pad autocomplete. Check the box next to it to enable this option.

That’s all you need to do to enable dial pad autocomplete in Android 4.3. Next time when you begin dialing a number from the phone app, you’ll be able to see three possible matches for that number. Simply tap on contact name to call that contact right away.

Enabling this really useful and time saving feature wasn’t that hard, was it?
