Verizon Protests – Pai-Led Massive Vote To Dismantle The Net Neutrality Protections

Yesterday Ajit Pai, head of the Federal Communications Commission and former Verizon lawyer, spoke at Verizon headquarters in DC.1

That’s right, just one week before the Pai-led massive vote to dismantle the Net Neutrality protections tens of millions of Americans fought for, Pai is back at home bragging about his plan — which has been hailed as a victory for telecoms.2

We can’t let them get away with this. That’s why we have our own plan. The numbers:

On their side: One vote to ruin our open Internet, one former Verizon lawyer in charge of that vote,3 and one speech at Verizon to brag about that vote.4

On the Internet’s side: More than 600 planned protests at Verizon stores tomorrow, in 50 states, with thousands of people signed up.5

TOMORROW: JOIN THE FIGHT

We can win, but we have to act. The forces that want to undo Net Neutrality are powerful and will say anything,6 and stop at nothing. But what they don’t have is you.

Tomorrow, Thursday, December 7th, will be a historic day of protests as over 600 grassroots demonstrations will pop up to support Title II Net Neutrality protections, planned at Verizon stores and congressional offices.

Be part of the action and help save the Internet — find a Verizon protest near you. (And if there isn’t an event near you, host one!)

If enough of us show up tomorrow, Congress will be forced to act to stop Pai’s plan. Join the fight for the Internet — sign up now, Jacob.

Yours for an open web,
Katy, on behalf of OpenMedia
