Jeff Jones has stepped down from his position as president at Uber, citing issues with the company’s beliefs and leadership, according to Recode. Jones joined the ridesharing giant not even seven months ago, after spending several years at Target as CMO. His departure follows a recent announcement from Uber CEO Travis Kalanick that the company would be hiring a COO, although Recode reports that wasn’t the direct reason for Jones’ resignation.
This is just the latest in a series of executive departures at Uber. Earlier this month, VP of product and growth Ed Baker stepped down after roughly four years with the company. Prior to that, SVP of engineering Amit Singhal resigned in late February after reports surfaced he left his previous job at Google amid sexual harassment claims.
