If you’ve not already heard, it is being rumored that Microsoft is going to showcase some new hardware at this year’s E3. Earlier today it was reported that that it would be announcing a new Xbox TV streaming device, which may be available in June, but it seems as though there maybe be more from Microsoft! A new report that has come to light has suggested that Microsoft will introduce the Xbox Slim at E3 too and a more powerful Xbox One has been rumoured to be being lined up for release next year.

More Xbox One News

About a month ago references to a new Xbox One wireless chip were discovered, and since then the story has moved on with the news of a much smaller console being in the offing, which will be unveiled at E3. As for specs, Microsoft has been tight lipped, but it could come with a 2TB hard drive and is a huge 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One. Other rumors also suggest it may even support 4K video.

More Powerful Console

As for the more powerful Xbox One it is rumoured to be being launched in 2017 and Microsoft insiders are suggesting it is code-named Scorpio. It’s also rumoured that this new Xbox will ship with a more powerful graphics processor and will be able to support 4K gameplay. And in another revelation /rumor it will be able to support the VR behemoth that is Oculus rift. If this is true I don’t know, but Microsoft could be looking to partner with oculus, after all VR is considered to be the next great evolution in gaming.

None of the above has been officially confirmed by Microsoft yet however, sources close to the action to suggest that we’re going to hear something from Microsoft at E3. So until then all we can do is wait until 12.30p, on June the 13th to find out the answers.
