Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Tim Cook is offering a coffee date with proceeds going to charity. AppleInsider was one of the first to notice the listing on Charity Buzz.

The winning donor will be able to sit down for coffee with Cook at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Cupertino, Calif. headquarters for 30 to 60 minutes. Having coffee with Cook has an estimated $50,000 value, but as of this writing, bids were up to $180,000 after 52 people entered in a bid. Bidding ends on May 14 in the afternoon Eastern time.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. The organization focuses on using alliances to generate change through individuals. It educates students about human rights issues and “amplifies” work done by human rights activists, journalists and others working for human rights.

Cook’s donation stands apart from former Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs’ habits concerning charity. He was never one to broadcast his charitable efforts, and some once questioned whether he did give to charity.

In addition to Cook, several other well-known people are participating in the charity auction. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk is donating a meeting with him and a tour of the SpaceX Center in Los Angeles. Donors will get a chance to see Falcon 9 rockets being assembled and the construction of Merlin engines, among other things. That auction has a bid of only $5,250 after two bids. Its estimated value is $25,000.

Other big names who are offering up their time to donate for this charity are Robert DeNiro, Jay Leno, Alec Baldwin, Ryan Seacrest, Alex Trebeck, Carrie Underwood, Jillian Michaels and William Shatner.
