This infographic gives us a brief idea about the weight issues people face these days. There are more people searching for weight loss than weight gain. That little tidbit is hardly surprising. However, this infograph uses what looks like google trends to see who is focusing for weight loss or weight gain by gender, country, age, time period etc. To tie this into finance, was that big spike in May 2011 SAC Capital doing ‘channel checks‘ before deciding it was ‘wise’ to buy weight watchers? Or was it Kyle Bass who looks like he lost 100 pounds checking different diets (and possibly Herbalife shakes)?
