After months of rumors and speculations, Apple has confirmed that it will hold a special event on March 21st at its 1 Infinite Loop campus at 10 am Pacific Time. At the spring event, the tech giant is expected to unveil a 4-inch iPhone SE (special edition), a 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple Watch bands, and software updates. Apple also said it would livestream the media event. Visit this link when the event begins at 10 am Pacific Time on March 21st.

How to livestream the March 21 event

The live streaming requires an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch with Safari on iOS 7 or later. Mac users need to have Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later. The event will also be live streamed to Windows 10 users on Edge browser. Streaming via Apple TV requires a 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later, or a 4th generation Apple TV.

The Cupertino company has traditionally saved the iPhone launches for the fall event, but the iPhone SE is expected to change that. The new smartphone is said to be a mid-range device with an iPhone 5S-like design. However, it will be a powerful phone featuring a mix of specs from the iPhone 6 and 6S. The device is aimed at emerging markets like India where Apple is trying to gain a foothold.

iPhone SE to sport a design similar to iPhone 5S

The iPhone SE is rumored to feature the A9 processor with M9 co-processor, always-on Siri, Live Photos, and NFC support for Apple Pay. The device will be available in rose gold, gold, gray, and silver finishes. Schematics leaked via case makers show a nearly identical design to the iPhone 5S. However, its edges will be slightly curved.

Apple was previously rumored to launch a 9.7-inch iPad Air 3 at the March event. Latest reports suggest that the new tablet would be called iPad Pro. It will be a smaller version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro launched last year. The 9.7-inch tablet is said to include a quad-speaker design, support for Apple Pencil, a Smart Connector, and A9X processor. Both the new devices are expected to hit the store shelves just days after official unveiling.
