The Currency Graveyard: The End of the Dollar Standard [INFOGRAPHIC]

So what do you think? Is the end of the dollar standard near and will a new reserve currency be adopted?  We can all hope hard and honest money will replace the dollar, but looking at the history of collapsed currencies, the outlook does not look that great.  Along with the dollar coffin, I have included a few collapsed currencies in the graveyard as well: Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Russia, Romania and Ukraine.  Though our economy is more complex, it does not make us any more immune to the inevitability of fiat currency collapses.
If the treasury bond bubble bursting doesn’t occur soon or a squeeze in precious metals isn’t in the near future horizon, news from foreign countries may be enough to cause the end to the dollar as the world reserve currency. Whatever the final straw is, the death of the dollar is near.
