The Top 40 Investing Books

Updated on

Meb Faber on his favorite 40 investing books – a great list below -he notes when asked about the best book on investing it is tough to give an answer. Meb discussed the question on his podcast but had no answer. So he took a survey of 1k readers and ranked the top 50 books. Meb removed his books   The Ivy Portfolio and Global Asset Allocation from the rankings. The top choice was what we would likely also recommend to a total newbie to investing or fundamental investing The Intelligent Investor by Ben Graham. Or we might pick one of the top ten which was The Four Pillars of Investing by William Bernstein. Another from the top ten which also would probably make our top ten and possibly number one is a A Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton Malkiel.

Sorta related Ben Carlson says  Bull: A History of the Boom and Bust, 1982-2004 by Maggie Mahar is one of his favorite books, so its worth a look.
