Likes and shares, the glue that holds our society together. Now, I am not going to bash on Facebook, it has improved our society in a lot of ways.  Interconnectedness makes us all feel more alive.

Interestingly, Facebook thrives on the reward center of our brains, with every notification fueling addictive behavior.  Attention spans have gotten shorter and our brains fundamentally change from social media.

We share news, events, big and small, in smatterings throughout the day.  Users of all ages are checking the site day after day, often many times in one day.  This is not likely to change,
