Earlier this month, many Xbox One S fans were disappointed when Microsoft announced that the 2TB model of the new console was a limited edition version, and it’s gone for good. The 2TB Xbox One S has already sold out in most markets around the world. The software giant announced at the Gamescom 2016 in Germany that it will release the 500GB and 1TB versions of the Xbox One S on September 22. Both models will come with a free copy of FIFA 17.
Pre-orders open for 500GB, 1TB Xbox One S
Microsoft has started taking pre-orders for the new variants on its website. The 500GB model will be available for $300. It will include a digital copy of FIFA 17, three Ultimate Team Loan Legends, and one month of EA Access. The 1TB version, priced at $350, will also include an Ultimate Team Rare Player Pack. The bundle will be available in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
It looks like a good deal considering you’ll get access to FIFA 17 a week ahead of its official release on September 29. Microsoft has still not clarified whether it will re-release the 2TB version of Xbox One S. You shouldn’t be disappointed, though. You can purchase a 1TB or 500GB model and use an external hard drive if you need more storage. Also, Microsoft will be launching a 2TB Gears of War edition of the Xbox One S that you might be interested in.
Xbox One S sales strong
The new Xbox One S is about 40% smaller than the original. It supports 4K and HDR, and gives you Ultra HD services like Netflix 4K. Microsoft has announced that it is working on Project Scorpio – the world’s best gaming console ever – that will arrive in 2017. Many believed that the announcement of Project Scorpio could affect the sales of Xbox One S as users may choose to wait for the better console. However, the Xbox One S has seen strong sales.
