Apple Inc. NASDAQ:AAPL might launch its long-awaited iWatch together with the iPhone 6, according to a new report, which suggests that both the gadgets will be launched in September. Apple enthusiast John Gruber noted that the much-anticipated device from Apple will be a ‘wrist wearable thing,’ but the name has not been finalized. Gruber has been a reliable informant about the developments related to the iPad, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S.
Big names already in the arena
In the wearable segment, Apple Inc. NASDAQ:AAPL will have to face challengers like LG, Motorola, and Samsung besides others who are already shipping their wearable devices. Gruber mentioned the information about the iWatch launch on his Daring Fireball website.
Gruber said, “It looks like Motorola’s designers tried to draw as much attention as they could to the 360’s flat-tire display shape.” He noted how ironic it would be if it does not get shipped even after Apple NASDAQ:AAPL launches its wrist wearable next month.
Many Apple users are looking forward to a wrist watch, but some reports claim that the wearable might be a mainly a fitness band as the iPhone maker teamed up with Kobe Bryant to test the fitness capabilities.

Apple iPhone 6 rumors
Apple’s NASDAQ:AAPL iPhone 6 uses an A8 processor and will launch in two variants with a 4.7-inch display and a 5.5-inch screen. Scratch resistant sapphire glass has been a long rumored component of the iPhone 6, and according to market watchers, the phone will come with sapphire screen display, along with the Quantum Dots that would allow the device to last more hours. According to the latest rumors, the ‘Apple logo’ on the rear side of the phone will light up to indicate notifications.
There have been a string of reports focusing on September 9th as the probable launch date of the iPhone 6 and iWatch.
