Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 dummy images surfaced recently showing a gold iPhone mock up as well as space gray and silver models, which are already offered by Apple. This is the first time a dummy model in gold color has shown up.

Awkward camera cut-out

The camera cut-out looks strange in both the lighter color models, which may not be the actual design as it’s just a dummy. Another awkward feature is the gold Touch ID ring on all three of the iPhone 6 dummy versions, says a report from 9To5Mac.

Various reports claim that the upcoming iPhone 6 will have a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch variation, similar to the fifth generation iPod touch in design along with a redesigned button. There have been slew of reports over possible Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 specifications, features and schematics. The latest designs surfacing are similar to the previous ones, but there is no confirmation by Apple regarding any design or specification yet.

Noted tipster Sonny Dickson recently tweeted a photo of the alledged iPhone 6, which had a curvaceous design. Both the front and back of the phone were shown having a curved screen, which looks promising, as there have been reports in the past of a curvy iPhone 6.

4.7 inch iPhone 6 in August

New reports out this week are suggesting that a smaller display version of the iPhone 6 will be unveiled in August, a month before industry watchers had been expecting. The Economic Daily news reported that a 4.7 inch iPhone 6 will be available for the masses in the Apple Store by August. Versions with the larger 5.5 inch or 5.6 inch display will be released in September.

Sources related to Apple’s supply chain talked to Reuters about a 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch version of the iPhone 6. Economic Daily reported that total of 80 million iPhone 6s will be produced this year. Many analysts believe that by increasing its screen size, the new iPhone will be able to capture market share from rivals like Samsung, who are continuously offering larger screen smartphones to the customers.

In Thursday trading, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares closed down 0.18% at $587.99. In pre-market trading today, Apple shares were up 0.32% at $586.10.
