The iPhone 6 may not even be out until next year, but the rumor mill just keeps churning out stories. Will it have a 3D camera? Will it be water and dust resistant? What about the fingerprint sensor some have imagined? Or will it have some other properties we haven’t even dreamed of yet?
iPhone 6 And The Great Apple Debate
One of the concerns about the iPhone 6 that surfaced over the weekend is whether Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be able to regain and / or maintain the view of it as a leader in the market. Phones Review’s Mark Chubb covered a number of comments from both sides of the debate.
Some say that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has always delivered premium products and always will, while others say the company is slipping. The specs on the iPhone 5 are certainly behind those of other new smartphones. If the iPhone 5S comes out this year with only small upgrades, some believe those upgrades won’t be enough to get Apple caught up to the high-tech Android devices which are available.
Endless Possibilities For The iPhone 6
One of the greatest things about the iPhone 6 is the fact that it could be anything at all. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) could have something tremendous up its sleeve, and at this point, one thing seems clear.
Consumers are looking for the WOW factor. They want an iPhone 6 that will knock the socks off of any other smartphone out there. As a result, Apple fans aren’t afraid to dream about what the device will feature. Sometimes dreaming of what a device will be able to do is more fun than actually hearing what the device has to offer when it finally comes out.
Of course all the dreaming about the iPhone 6 means Apple fans will either be VERY disappointed or VERY excited about the device when it comes out. There’s not going to be much in between because speculation is running so rampant right now that the iPhone 6 can only be an immense success or a complete failure.
We don’t even know yet whether the iPhone 6 will be out this year or whether it will be the iPhone 5S this year. If this speculation about the device runs on for more than another year, then who knows what else Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fans will come up with?
